Rachel Dowse found her passion for the performing arts early. She trained at RAW Dance Company in Brisbane and quickly moved up to company dancer and teacher. She has toured the United States of America with Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus as a dancer and aerialist and waltzed around Universal Studios Japan as Marilyn Monroe. Rachel has since performed with various shows including Coterie Cabaret, Dancing CEO’s, Broad Encounters “A Midnight Visit”, Trigger Happy Productions “Shreklesque”, Platform Creative “Ooh La La”, Che Pritchard’s “Birds of Paradise” and Opera Australia’s “CARMEN on Cockatoo Island” in Sydney. She has just finished choreographing and performing in Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge “Behind The Curtain” alongside Keith Hawley and Veronica Beattie and will be continuing to teach and create works in Brisbane and Gold Coast. Rachel’s style is recognised for her unique musicality, quirky movement and expressive performance quality.
